Hey guys,
There has been a lot of talk about me asking to put together an intake for the i-6 guys.
So, I would like to hear from you.
1. What do you want? (i.e. "all silicone", "similar to TBSS and G8 intakes with aluminum bends and couplers...etc)
2. I notice that some mfr's only go to the air baffle on later models and not directly to the throttle body. I would either offer both or something similar (not entirely famliar with the baffle...and I believe it covers coil packs too?)
3. Color options? Black Blue Red? If we go all Black that takes the timeline a LOT sooner than later!
4. Filter choices....K&N, AEM are two brands that I sell for oil and oil-less.
5. Price point. I would estimate coming in at $179.99 w/o a filter plus or minus some. **This is an estimate** Filter choices would range from $30-50
So,
If you are interested LET US know.
IF you have ideas or something NEW or different you'd like to see...LET US know.
We are here for you guys! :tiphat

Could you adapt to our current k&n and Airaid filters that some may already have from their current cai's. If a air filter will be a separate cost, would be nice to use what we already have if we want to use your system.
Would you do any dyno tests to see what kind of gains we might see.
Mostly silicone would be nice, and would be good if there was an option to keep the resonator and run through the intake resonator.

I know what you're thinking but yes...can adapt from older parts for sure.
I will discuss this with you soon.
Yes dyno tests are possible especially since most TV's are RWD..and not AWD like my truck = easier dyno day.
Definitely with and w/o resonator. Especially for looks.
I will have to check out pics of your truck again.
I know the pre-2006 guys can cut the resonator and run the piping thru it. I am not sure about the 2006+ guys.
The different MAF setups are a slight issue as well.
Also, with all-silicone there would be a lot LESS sound than if was made of aluminum.
The all-silicone would match silicone radiators hoses nicely too.

Mike; this sounds awesome; I would be interested in an oil-free version; also the all silicone for me; I have to think about color; also would we be using the factory air box or would you have something to go in it's palce?

I am planning on factory airbox! :)
But I may have some other things up my sleeve! ;)

FACTORY AIR BOX YES!!!!!:thumbsup:i like the silver part that goes into the throttle like on the k&ns. and what about a ram air for us inline 6 guys with the ss bumpers? I want a ram air for that vent so bad! and keep it as close to 150 as possible :thx

sounds good all silicone, factory box, with and without resonator option and like the option of AEM and K&N, make sure you do one for 06+ thats whats lacking in the market place for that MAF.

Ooooo ... factory airbox ... factory resonator ... no-filter option to go with my existing K&N filter ... provable dyno results ... better performance with no additional intake noise ... lower intake temps instead of higher ...
Gee, are we asking too much?
Put me down for one in blue, please.

Definately would be interested-black silicone, but I would need a provision for the maf sensor and the resonator box would stay. I would also do no filter. Keep us posted.

i recommend our cai not be made with metal since it kills our mpg.

If this is still in the works I'd be up for one. I've been eyeing the K&N 63 series, but it's $230+ (if I'm lucky!!!) I've already got the drop in K&N filter in the stock airbox, so that would be a plus for me. Color does not matter, but if they are available...I'd probably go blue.
Let us know what we can do to help get this rolling! :thx in advance!!!!

Any news on this? To be honest, I'd rather buy from Jetttstream regarding a catered intake that utilizes the existing airbox and resonator, but I'm chomping at the bit to get any kind of aftermarket intake. :excited:
The K&N 63-3062 is going for $239.68 on Amazon. Can't ignore it much longer....I am a product of my society! MUST....HAVE....NOW!!!!! :hail:
Seriously though...any new information on the Jettstream CAI for 4.2 TB's?

I would like to see a black/ silver one maybe. or maybe just all black silicone... Definitly not metal...
I would be down for one with the AEM dry flow filters... for my '08 LT3

I'm interested as well. Silicone, and using factory box and resonator? I'm in!! I'm gonna hollow out my airbox this month hopefully, and looking into an Amsoil filter.
Keep us updated, Mike!
