Late Summer, Early Fall meet

I say we try and get another meet going before some snow starts flying. I know thats a long ways from now, but i thought i would just throw the idea out there.

sorry, I've been stuck in yakima on some training for a while, just thought I'd drop in to see if any dates had been set.

I'm all for another meet, as long as I'm either A. Not at NTC for that time (sometime around late august) and B. (it's not on the same week my kid is born.

which is again late august.

anyone have any ideas on some good dates and times? maybe early august before all the rain.

Well for me July 25-26, and August 1-2 work the best for me. But I could make other weekends work if i have a weeks notice.

How about we do a BBQ at a State park the first or second weekend in August (8-1/8-2 or 8-9/8-10). We could also always do a weekend up at my cabin during those times also. There is a large parking area at a house near the paved road so any SS's that come could park there and we could shuttle you back and forth. The State park idea we could do either in the Seattle area, teh Eastern Washington area, or maybe even the Portland area. Anyway, just some ideas.

Yes Ive been dead on here for a month or so, sorry guys but with working weird hours 40 hours a week and trying to balance working on home projects I havent been online really at all.

And Im posting the meet pics up now, better 6 weeks late than never right??!! :duh:

Hey guys, I can guarantee unless I request it off work I work every weekend both days for 8+ hours. Coupled with that, the weekend of the 8-9th I might be heading with the family to our cabin on Lake Coeur d'Alene in Idaho. Ill know more in the next few days, now that I know what the dates are Ill try to head to CDA the following weekend instead.

So it looks like as of today we have 4 members coming (including myself). I am bringing my fiance and our 2 kids. Why don't we give people until August 1st to say they are coming and then we will decide who should bring what. See you guys in a few weeks!

I still cant say for sure that Im coming, but I requested the time off work so I should be good to go. Was hoping my schedule would be posted by now, hopefully by fri or sat Ill know for sure.

And driving 75mph from Seattle to Coeur d'Alene the whole way with 3 people and light gear, the SS NEVER downshifts or unlocks the torque converter...pretty much its badass. Got about 16.5 according to the DIC going there, got 15.8 (hand calc'd) then 17 (DIC) coming back but I need to fill it up to check. Got a few kills in along the way but have to explain in person now cauz of the new regs.

Id say plan on bringing enough of whatever you bring to feed 12 people, that way we dont run out and have to run to the store midway through.

Im thinking maybe someone else and I could do a costco run for the meat, buns, condiments, soda, and whatever else then just have everyone throw some money at us.

Bill also suggested EVERYONE BRING THEIR OWN DRINKS, that way everyone is happy with their drink choice. If you want to bring more for other people thats better, but this way no one can complain about it.

Can anyone bring a cooler or two to keep stuff cold? All I have are tiny ones, Im thinking costco sized ones here to keep the burgers/dogs/condiments/dip/drinks cold in.

Think the plan is to show up around 12pm. I know Bill is leaving Coaquitlim (sp?) at 8am so he should be down here around 10ish barring any bad border crossing.

Im going to show up around 9-10 solely to grab a picnic table, there are only 3 reservable shelters there and of course they're all reserved. Like 3 weeks ago, so we'll just have to make it work another way!

Awesome guys, Craig and I are starting to clean our TBs now.
