This is driving me nuts. Everytime I brake to slow down and hit the accelerator the transmission makes a thump to get into 2nd gear. Is this a transmission or u joint problem? If anyone has experienced this let me know what to tell the dealer to look for.
Was there a Technical Bulletin or Recall on this with the TrailBlazer?

I live in Illinois and take mine to Grossinger Chevy for oil changes. Anyone heard any bad things about them?

Since it happens every time you should be able to take it to the dealer and let them test drive it. If it is there they will feel it. :m2:

I think it is either the u-joints, or maybe the limited slip unit in the rear if you have one, but it would be the tranny or transfer case also. Take it to the dealer for a check-up under warranty if possible.

Mine has done that every since I got it. I know how annoying it is, as I have to on a regular basis slow down for the person who takes forever to turn right and then step on the accelerator and it makes the klunk sound. I wonder if it is normal, as my 99 RX300 does the same thing, but much worse than my TB.

Mine does the same thing...I think it is the u joint because it makes a simalar clunk when you shift into reverse at times.

I think this is a common thing on almost all the TB's, mine does it too!! :(

Mine does not do it, and if it did it would be in the shop right now getting fixed. :m2:
