Hey guys and gals. I am thinking about a possible domain name change before I get the huge graphic made for the rear window of my truck and before i have small stickers made for members. Plus is will be shorter, easier to remember and say, and will describe the site better than tbecentral. Here is the domain name I am thinking about changing to:
http://www.trailvoy.com/images/fp/trailvoyv1.jpg
During the transition period and tbecentral url/links will work just fine. Everything will get redirected for about 12 months.
So please give me your opinions on it.

That's not bad... does this mean the new mascot vehicle will be a trailblazer exterior with the envoy interior transplanted in? :laugh:

I really hate to be the lone dissenter, but I’m not too fond of the name “TrailVoy”. Although the name does a good job of joining Trailblazer and Envoy together I don’t think it does a good job of describing the site. In addition, I don’t think it does much for you in terms of search engines.
Domain names are cheap. If I were looking for a new name I would probably consider registering a few names like TrailblazerCentral.com and EnvoyCentral.com.

Boo work-n-show...boooooo! Nah just kidding. I appreciate everyone's opinion including yours. :) Those are good names you suggested and they would make great entry way sites.

:p Yeah, feedback is feedback. Good or bad it's still valuable. BTW - I think you've really done a great job with this site.

I like TBECentral.com ,sounds like a command post. :cool: First you wanted to change the picture and now you want to change the name. WHAT'S WRONG with the name of the site. The site is growing and what does a name change benifit the site. Are you doing MODS just to do MODS or will it benifit all the members and the site as a whole ? :m2:
Tommy you have done a wonderful job with this site and I believe you will do whats BEST for ALL.

Why not have a poll whether members want to change the name or not then ask them to submit suggestions then we could all vote on a name. :m2:

yeah i say keep it the way it is. The word central makes it seem like it's the main place to be(and it is). Plus Trailvoy doesn't really roll of the tongue.

This host is driving me crazy. I will be changing hosts very soon. JelSoft has totally re-coded Vbulletin to be better, faster, & more reliable. I am currently testing v3.5.0 Beta 1 in another directory and it is awesome. When they release the stable version, I am going to change hosts.
As far as the domain name, TBECentral will always be apart of this site. But after some serious consideration, marketing TrailVoy.com, I feel will be better for the continued success of this site. I will always own TBECentral.com, and it will always redirect to the new site.
I am getting a huge graphic put on the back of my rear window to advertise our site. If I had the extra money, I would wrap my entire vehicle as a billboard. :D Maybe I'll start a paypal donation fund for that? ;)

I would be more than happy to donate some money to this site. PayPal is how most of the sites I have been to that. WHat a lot of places do is offer a "VIP" style member ship with say more storage space and maybe a decal for a certain amount donated. Almost like membership fees if you want to have extra privileges.

That was a similar suggestion that I made, I'm sure there are frequent visitors that would donate via Paypal or whatever to this site, I would.
