question:adding aux input 2008 envoy bose

i am looking to hook up a mp3 player to my envoy. Its a 2008 SLE with bose non nav. Has a 6 disc inhead unit changer and has a aux button. I saw a couple ones but no one is giving a really answer on if they work or not and which on.

Pictures and which one u have would be great. Also how are you switching between radio to mp3.

I am going to be putting in an aux input in my 2004 Envoy Bose wo DVD system. Crutchfield says it is a dangling wire that you can put anywhere.

I am thinking of running it into my glove box. That way I can hide it when I am not using it. Sounds similar to my wife's Ipod hookup in here 330Xi. That works nice.

Drawback is you have to operate mp3 (in this case my Blackberry Storm) from the phone and not the steering wheel controls. Small drawback in my opinion to get away from fm transmitters that suck.

I believe perphieral makes a part that will give you an audio jack or a ipod dock. Goes in-line with your antenna and interrupts the radio. The part is rougly 90 dollars from best buy. You will also need antenna adapters. The aux jack can be mounted and looks factory.
