i have that problem but i deleted my res and put some muffler on there that i dont really know what it is. sounds great outside but super ricey inside and drones nasty. sucks real bad. but it was a total free install

Everyone has a different opinion of what is noisy. Did you have the work done at a licensed muffler shop? If so, I wouldn't think anything was missing or needed to be removed. It may be the specific model of muffler you chose. Again, everyone has a different opinion of bad noise versus good noise. :D If you like the noise outside, maybe something can be installed between the muffler and the undercar. A dampener plate of sorts?

You could try one of these.

they have different types and prices, this was one of the cheaper ones.
