Does the Bravada have full time symmetric AWD?
Or is it assymmetric AWD like the A4WD mode in the Trailblazer/Envoy?
Is it possible to swap out a Trailblazer transfer case with a Bravada transfer case with no issues?
Thanks!

I believe from a quick read of the shop manual that it's like the TB/E A4WD mode. Might be wrong.

No. The computer(s) would want to continue running it like the Bravada, since the computer knows what it was originally built as. Also, the A4WD models (Bravada, Saab (?), and Buick) have no disconnect feature on the front differential. On the TB/E, when you're in 2WD mode, there's a disconnect spline shaft on the front diff., and the transfer case quits turning the shaft going to the front. A TB/E transfer case with a full-time (non-disconnecting) front differential would have that shaft turning all the time, driven backwards from the front wheels. Might not be harmful, but more parasitic friction.

Thanks for the reply roadie!
Yeah, I was trying to think of ways to make the TB full time 4WD or AWD (not looking to make it an off-roader). I believe for the twin-turbo TB concept, they used a transfer case out of an Escalade. I guess it really just comes down to finding a transfer case with a center differential... and then trying to make it work in the TB.

Idontknow, I would advise you not to switch to the Bravada AWD system. I am having a lot of problems with my AWD system in my Bravada nad I wish I had the TB system. Vehicle is at the dealer again and they have had it hooked up to a computer recorder fulltime for over a month now and they still dont know whats wrong with it. Be happy you can switch yours in and out of 4x4.

Yeah, from what roadie has stated about the Bravada transfer case, it isn't what I'm looking for anyways. I did some more research, and it uses SmartTrak... which functions similar to A4WD mode in a TB.
