I have to make a decision on towing 3 miles with my Avalanche with a prodogy Brake controller installed, or my Envoy with no brake controller, Now i would rather make the trip from NY to Maryland in my Envoy rather than the wifes truck, but even for a 3 mile flat terrain drive out of storage i do not know what will happen with the trailers electric brakes on my Envoy without a brake cintroller. no brakes? 100% trailer brakes every time I apply the truck brakes?

Anyone know if its possible to tow with my truck and 7 pin connector without a controller for a out of storge crawl to the campground at Asseteque Island? I hate the AV on the highway!

With no controller, the pin in the 7-way connector has nothing going to it. Zero trailer brakes.

Really only three miles? You might risk it.

But why not get another receptacle for the Prodigy and move it around as necessary?

The harness alone is $11:

$8 for the pocket mount kit:

Good idea Roadie, I will order the harness for a second install. Thanks!
