One 2002 and one 2007. Both had /has a chirping noise when the engine was cold. My question is how many others have had this problem? What kind of diagnostics did they get from the dealers? What was the eventual repair, part and manufacturer? How long has the repair lasted? Lynn:thx Jascot 08-22-2009, 12:00 PM That chirping could be something as simple as a bad pulley for the serpentine belt. I've had issues on mine where a worn belt tensioner pulley will chirp or whine, especially when its first started in the cold. I believe they're pretty easy/cheap to replace yourself. Also the belt itself can make that chirping noise. greggf 08-22-2009, 12:42 PM i had the chirp,and even though the belt looked great, new belt took care of problem.
