Anyone ever use the 3M paint protection film on their front bumper or hood?
I've heard some good things about it, but I'm wondering how long it lasts.

I've used 3M film on a 2002 Envoy and now on a 2005 Trailblazer. I highly recommend it. When I traded my Envoy, the front end didn't have any nicks on it and the used car assessor commented on how clean the front end was.
A couple of the GM dealers here put film on their demos, saying it is cheaper than repainting the hood.
Go for it, you'll be glad you did

It's a good product. However for a used truck you may want to make sure there aren't any preexisting blemishes before application. It will only make them show up worse. :m2:

I heard about it. Has anyone installed it on their own?

I tried to once, just a small chunk on the front edge of the hood on my old truck. I would recommend letting a pro do the job, because unless you know what you're doing it can turn out really bad with air bubbles and wrinkles. Same way for window tints. :m2:
