Do you know what this sound is?
In my TBSS, when I get into the vehicle and close the door there is a faint high pitched sound coming from what I can tell is the Onstar speaker on the drivers pillar. It is not the compressor, I know what that sounds like. It sounds more like an amplifier whine or a fuel pump humm. After less that a minute it stops. I will have to time it. If you put the key into the ignition, even without turning it, the sound returns. Is this an Onstar thing?
I can't imagine the fuel pump would be on before the key is in.

I think it's comming from the rear fuse box. Put the key in the ignition then run to the back and listen to it. I think that's where the sound's comming from :undecided

The thing on the Driver side pillar is the Microphone for Onstar, Onstar will not make a sound unless activated by pushing one of the buttons. trust me I used to be the Ops Mangager for all technical support for Onstar. one of two things air ride or fuel pump ut, what throws me off is the key is not even turned. :worried:

it is not the onstar mic. its the temp sensor for the HVAC. there is a fan in there.

An Onstar mic in the drivers B-pilar??? Those are in the center console, not the drivers pilar. Jimmy and Kelyvn are right, it is a temp sensor that the digital HVAC unit uses for climate control. Believe me, I have had that pilar off before a few times.
