Someone gave me a set of cheap carpet liners from Cabellas and believe it or not, they aren't too bad. They fit very well, and cover all of the carpet area, even the dead pedal.
I like them a lot.

I've got the Husky Liners also from Cabela. I would highly recommend these liners. They fit great and stay in place.

Did your dead pedal come that way with the rubber covering? Mine is just carpet covered.

What you're seeing is part of the floor mat. I've got the same ones in my truck. There IS a factory rubber/plastic piece on the dead pedal in my truck though. Maybe they aren't putting that in '05s or something :dunno:

That whole black rubber is the husky liners. It covers the dead pedal on the left side of the floorboard. I purchased them in the summer of 04 if that makes a difference for my 04 TB. I like these liners as they are more washable than carpet and fit the TB great. Highly recommend them.

The factory rubber / plastic piece on the dead pedal was conveniently left off beginning on the '03 models. I also have the husky floor liners, and like them very much. My only problem is how to get black rubber sole scuffs off of the grey liner I have. If it were black it would be no issue, but they are grey and the black scuffs show up. Any ideas?

I've got a couple tricks you might try.
1) Take a pencil eraser (one of the brick ones they sell for drafting/artists) and try using that to scrub off the scuffs.
2) Get one of those Mr.Clean Magic Eraser things -- of course test for colorfast on the backside of the mat but that may work.
3) Spray it down with some all purpose cleaner (409, etc.) and scrub with a toothbrush, then rinse it clean with the pressure washer at a car wash (or at home if you happen to own an electric one like I have)
If none of those work, buy a set of black mats!!

These liners are one of the best investments that you can make to protect the interior floor areas of your truck....I also went thru Cabella's website for these...Every day after work, I have to walk through a very wet, slushy, oily, brake fluid -laden parking lot to get to my truck, and tend to pick up lots of this crap on the soles of my shoes....Anyways,you can just imagine how much of this @#%$*&^ would accumulate and soak in if I relied upon just the stock carpeted mats!!! The "dead-pedal" coverage is one of the big advantages to this particular liner, as well as their ability to remain in place rather well....Husky does recommend that you remove the stockers before putting in theirs,to grip more firmly to the floor....I don't get paid to advertise these, and I certainly didn't get 'em for free, but I would buy them again if I got another TB, that's for sure!!!! You also cannot beat the lifetime warranty of them, either!!! Buy 'em!!! ~TBlazeruss44~

I totally agree with the above. I run into a similar situation, just more mud and dirt as you can see on my liners earlier in this post. Without a doubt, a good investment to keeping your TB nice and clean inside. Although expensive, well worth the price without much hassle to worry about.
