Question for anyone with an intake, I am looking for an intake for my 06 Denali envoy 5.3 and am a little confused on which system will work. I am looking for the airaid system that keeps the factory box but just eliminates the resonator and adds a new filter. On realtrucks.com it gives me the option of the 5.3 and 6.0 for the envoy and I was wondering which one to choose. I know there is a difference in the 05 and 06 5.3 in the envoy, and have read that the 6.0 intake will work. Just want to make sure

I've read a lot of the posts on the forum and want to get a straight answer. It doesn't have to be the airaid one.

Thanks

Scott

Not really sure what you're asking but, there has never been a 6.0 in an Envoy.

Here is my home made intake. A little farther down the thread is a description of how I made it and what parts I used. It fits in the stock box. I basically just wanted to eliminate the silencers, but I don't think I'm hurting performance either.

Ive had the k&n system on my 5.3L Rainier for 3 days... thing sounds like a rocketship (stock exhaust) and has a much improved throttle response... go with the k&n and I promise you wont be disappointed. Install was 90 minutes with 2 sets of hands

Damn that air filter is huge!!!

My opinion is kinda bias cause I have an Airaid on my I6 and I love it.
