So I clayed the truck this weekend, put on some AIO, and topped it off with some Meguiars cleaner wax. Now that the paint looks so good, the windshield sticks out like a sore thumb to me. There are small little dots all over the windshield, not like cracks or anything, at least not that I can tell. Could these be removed by claying it?? Has anyone else ever had this problem???

What you might want to do is, take some windex and a razor blade and clean all the gook from the windows. Make sure not to go straight with the blade must be at a 45 degree angle so the blade doesn't scratch it. If it is a chip you will feel the blades friction as it crosses the chip. If no chips are there, you will find a clean clear window upon finishing.

:iagree:
I also do detailing, and one of my secrets is using Ammonia on the winshield!
It sound wierd but do what dntnvme said but with ammonia. Make sure it doesn't get to much on the paint. Then get Rain-X and u get a brand new windshield!

i didn't even think of doing that! i'm such an idiot sometimes :weird: thanks though! BTW, ever tried Klasse AIO on windows and mirrors?! DUDE, AMAZING!!! its crystal clear!! i'll have to get out some ammonia over the weekend and give it a shot. it just bothered me cause every other window is spotless, except the windshield, but it doesn't look like small cracks/starbursts. oh well, saturday i'll let you guys know what happens with it. thanks again

I also have found Klasse AIO to work well not only on paint but also windows and mirrors. Is it possible the windshield has small pits in it? I have read where the glass is "softer" than in previous years.

Thats exactly what I was thinking, I just wanted to ignore those thoughts and hope it wasn't that. If it is, how do i fix it??
