Whats up people. Got a good job opportunity in Seattle, looking at taking it. I have a 2wd LS EXT here in Hawaii that I am taking with me. Can I get away with All Terrain tires and be ok or should I get snow tires.
:thx

Seattle area doesnt get much snow. Sometimes not at all. I grew up just south of Seattle, and we got very little snow, if any. All terrain tires will be perfect. If you find you are gonna head over the passes then you should pick up snow tires or chains, although even on the passes in winter I find M&S tires work fine, even in 2wd.

Yeah i grew up in Seattle for 19 years and we rarely got any snow i mean well get it every now and then but it don't really stick so if you have some good tires and maybe you should be thinking about getting a G80 locking differential that will help you out a lot

The G80 is a big help but nothing helps you when Seattle gets the ice and snow combo like this :duh:

My TB has a set of Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos on it and I get through everything Spokane throws at me. Which is way worse than Seattle, I was driving in snow/ice for 2-3 months easily last winter. Get a quality set of A/Ts and be done. Hope you're 4WD though, 2WD you'll need snow tires for sure in Spokane, Seattle you can get away with hwy tires but dont expect to go anywhere if it snows.

Get a set of Michelin® XC™ LT4. You'll be happy forever. Great traction in snow or just wet weather. They will last a long time too. I had a set on last car 1999 GMC Jimmy. I almost can't wait for my current tires to wear out.
