Hello trailvoy I have a 05 gmc envoy denali 5.3 ltr . I just removed my tb to clean it disconnected the batt,& sensors
Now I'm getting a high idle problem . Was wondering if it could be caused by my k&n filter
Can't seem to figure it out
Any suggestions

I'd bet you have an air leak downstream of the throttle plate.

Or the throttle plate isn't closing all the way

I know most of you are sick of this question from the other forums, but I am still not sure which way to go. I already have a dual exhaust system (Scottsdale) and I want to either get a K&N drop in filter, or an aftermarket air induction system, however, I am always reading that the aftermarket ones create too much heat, and you need to insulate them (which I don't like the way the insulation looks)
Is there a way to have it all, Increased performance, good looks under the hood, the awesome sound, and keep the temperature down?
Help, the way it looks now, I will be going with the K&N drop in?
What do you guys think?

Get the K&N 57-3036. It's made of ABS plastic so you don't need to insulate it, and it's a full cold-air intake setup.
