View Full Version : Brakes acting strange

Has any one here had there breaks feels like the rotors needed turning but that wasn't the problem. Every so often it feels like my vehicle has bad rotors. The pedal jumps like the rotors need turning. I have had this checked before but couldn't find the problem. This time they gave me a free rental to take a closer look. If anyone has experienced this, and found something out. Let me know, if not when I found out something I will let you guys know.

could be the abs coming on or uneven rotor thickness. have they check your rotors with a run-out micrometer or just test drive. sometimes taking off and retorque the wheels in the proper pattern can fix that issue

I've felt the pedal jump 2 different times:
When I had to hit the brakes real hard, but that was just the ABS.
When the rotors needed to be resurfaced. Think that was at 10K.

Well it's at the dealer right now, but I will see tomorrow. Thanks for the two comments will see the out come, if not I will tell them to check those two suggestions.
If it happens under 3 mph then it is a "normal operating condition" per a GM bulletin. It feels like your brakes are warped or the engine is running rough. Regardless, my 03 TB with the same drivetrain doesn't do it. I posted the bulletin before. Let me know if you can't find the thread and I'll post it again.
