Well since I'm f'd out of 4x4 due to a ****ty GM design, I was just wondering if it would be safe (for the tire that is..) to get 1/4in sheel metal screws and put them in my tires for a little added traction. I know the screws are gonna wear down quick, but I can get them... pretty cheap (thanks mr. bossman :D). My tires have the holes in them for studs but since their illegal in jersey, I believe, and your not supposed to put them in worn tires, I was just curious on the screw idea.. :undecided

1. Yes, they are illegal in NJ
2. You have m/t's, traction is better than you think. You had trouble with this last storm?
3. Stay light and feather the throttle you get out of it.
4. $wd is more than just a pretty light on the dash
5. If you get stuck in snow, reverse and youl pull right out
6. Screws will be pointless and a waste and cause more harm than good, esp on good tires like that
7. When are we wheelin!? :hissy:

I believe my splinned disconnect is broke or something close to it. Whenever in 4wd I get a whining and grinding noise but only the rear tires spin. I live on a little dead end street off a side street which is a big icy mess of a hill so leaving for work this morning was a nightmare.
And I will come wheelin as soon as my 4x4 gets fixed!
