No way for tire shops to destroy the rims with flange mounted weights! :D

Nope, they just destroy the inner portion because they have to mount the weights there instead.:D :duh: :raspberry

Amazing how tire shops seem to love to marr up the edges of wheels. Especially the alloy wheels, as they are softer. You can request that the wheels be balanced on the inside only. They will tell you they won't balance as well, and may be true, but sure looks better.

I know, it drives me crazy. When I replaced the rims on my 98 Sierra Z71, the flange weights had destroyed that section of the flange. I upgraded to a set of 17in escalade rims and made sure that the weights were placed inside the wheel. I could care less if they vibrate abit, but it looks much cleaner.
My dad's 03 Z06 has flange weights as well, and none of the tire/wheel shops in the area will balance the wheels with internal weights as they are unable to clear the front brake calipers
