there should be a section called ask charlie. I'm wondering what's good to get paint off of a car. My girlfriend got yellow paint all over the one side of her car from freshly painted yellow lines in the road.

Ouch! How long has it been on there? If it hasn't been on too long, you can probably pull it with a clay bar (If the Mother's clay or Clay Magic Blue bar don't work, try finding a Clay Magic Red bar -- it's a bit more agressive). If it's been on for a while, you may have to soak it in some solvent cleaner or go at it VERY LIGHTLY with some paint thinner on the end of a q-tip. Last resort is to wet-sand it off with some 1500-2000 grit paper, then compound the area back to being smooth and glossy.

It's been on there for a little while. I'll try to get it off this week. Thanks.

Hey no problem, I'm just glad to be of assistance. I wouldn't say you "don't need Autopia," because there are many other approaches depending on who you talk to. Many different products and procedures can apply to the same jobs, several of which I've tried; I can only comment on what has turned out to work the best for me. :m2:

i understand what you mean, what i am saying is its nice to have one or two comments that will steer me in the correct direction to learn on my own. I love autopia too, but i get confussed with a pile of info right in front of me and no real direction to go in or start with....guess i am saying i am the kind of guy that can talk myself in circles to the point i need to leave a bread trail to find my way out :o
