Hi Folks.. since the Calabasis thread dealing with an old gathering might have caused come confusion, we're going to start a new thread right here to keep all our Southern California TrailVoyers in the know. Let the games begin!

On a related note.. in the other thread I mentioned I had my 86 Monte Carlo SS at last weekend's Super Chevy Show in Pomona. While there I took a walk through the manufacturer's midway. GM Performance Division had a spot there highlighting the Z06, TB SS and Cobalt SS. They had a white TB SS there (I think the same one that has been making the rounds at the auto shows) and people where all over it. It must have been a pre-production model because there were slight differences from the production version. For one, the Tach wasn't white. Also, the mirror turn signals were amber. The rear view mirror also had a manual dim lever (on an LT model that should have had the auto-dim feature). It was getting a lot of good comments from the people that were looking at it. I answered a few questions.. although I have a feeling some probably thought I was blowing smoke when I said I had one in the driveway! LOL. This white TB SS was the first one I've seen outside of my own. I have yet to see another one on the road here in LA. I know they're out there... just havn't run across one yet. Amazing in this sea of cars and SUVs.

I'm afraid I won't be going to the Bird Mart tomorrow. The wifey is going with her birdie girlfriends. While there is room in her TB for me.. ummmm.. I'm gonna pass. Sounds like they have a lot of shoping to do.. so it's going to be a long outting. She usually parks in the hotel parking lot (perferred parking). Look for her 06 TB LT... her license plate starts with the heart (for love) then "PARITS". :D

I've seen 3 different tbss. 2 black in Newport by my shop and one silver one down by my house in Laguna. i was side by side with the silver by my house and i jumped on it to see if he would get on it but he just took off like an old man. told my wife what a waste of a perfectly good ss.

Back to reality (like thats going to really happen...lol), to be fair to everyone is to have majority rule. Either Sat or Sun. lets say Sat wins, then the next time could be on Sun to be fair to everyone. Once we find out what day, then the next thing is what time?

Sorry guys, i had to vent. I just got told today that for the next 2 weeks, i have to help move our VicorVille store. That also includes working on Sat AND Sun.:hissy: I know that meens more time on my my check, but he knew that i wanted this weekend off. So now that really blows me out of the water.

Maybe we can set up another day in May. Maybe we can organize it a little better. Find a day when more people can come out.

p.s. maybe its time that i start looking for another job cause this was the last straw.

Well,there is more to it of coarse, but he knew that i had plans to have fun this weekend. What really burned me was that i was the only one he tokd. He didnt even ask me if i wanted to, he just volenteered<sp?> me. Two other people were kinds wanting to work. i dont know, maybe its just me, but after being pased up 3 times to manage stores, it kinda gets to you when all of the board members are chearing for me.

The last 2 weeks the wife and I have gone to SD, Knotts Berry Farm, Las Vegas, and Camarillo Outlet. In 2 weeks we have spent about 4500.00 in travel, food, hotels, and shopping. There went my rims :duh: , so now I am working very hard to get the money for them :yes: .

Well look at it this way, at least you've gone somewhere recently. I haven't done diddly. Yes, I have a reasonably nice truck to show for it. But I'd love to get away. With our zoo (get it, duh!) I need a zookeeper to spend the night if I want to go somewhere. We have no one to complain to but ourselves! If I go down to SD and spend the night my wife usually stays home. I spoke with Jay this morning. It looks like I'll bring chips, plates, utensils, spicy carrot salad, macaroni salad, etc. I was checking out a couple of pages on the web to see if animals are allowed. I didn't see any info? I'm guessing yes as people camp there. Course I'll bring poopy bags! :D I plan on bringing at least one of my labs, unless someone has a problem with dogs?

Well i was in the area of PuddingStone lake and got some info and driving directions. Entrance fee is $8 per TrailVoy. All dogs have to be on a leash(sorry OurZoo). The area that i scoped out has restrooms close.

Now for the directions.

If your coming from the 210, then exit on San Dimas Ave and go South. Travel Bout 2-3 miles and turn left on PuddingStone Dr. Travel about another mile and you will pass an sign that sez. "BOAT LAUNCH". Pass that and the next entrance will be the one for the park.

If your coming from the 57, Exit on Covina Blvd. Turn left and make a right turn on Arrow Hwy. The next light should be San Dimas Blvd. Travel about a mile and you will Pudding Stone Dr. The rest is the same as above.

If you coming from San Diego, Take the 5 and merge on the the 57 north. Travel about 10 miles and the same will apply as above.

Well, I'm home. I want to give thanks to dntnvme, OurZoo, and StvsDenaliXL for coming out today. We all had a great time and have we got stories to tell. Dntnvme's Envoy looks great with the new shoes. OurZoo and StvsDenaliXL Envoys look awsome. I felt kinda out of place first cause i was the only TB and second that i am still mostly stock. :iagree: ....we had a real good time.....BTW how many Trailvoy members does it take to get a ball out of a tree?.....answer: Zero, none of us could get up the tree, and I couldn't aim to save my life to hit it with a branch:laugh: .....it was comedy:dielaugh: ....the kids got a ball (the size of a beach ball) stuck in a tree, so we try to get it down, so while JJ was trying to lift Jay up into the tree, Jay was falling back and snagging JJ's finger, I tried to knock it out with a branch, and almost knocking myself with the branch, but we got the ball down, due to a nice guy having a pinic next to us, he climbed that tree like like he was Tarzan.....but all in all we had some fun, I enjoyed meeting with everyone and meeting the families, and I can't forget about Riley:D, we also went home home with some pretty dirty kids:laugh: I was afraid to let my kids in the Voy, but we have to do it again soon:yes:

There was a lot of that. I never actually saw Riley connect with Sierra, so who knows?:undecided :confused: :crazy: If they are the funky labradoodles we'll probably charge a little something for them. If they are pure labs for which we have all the papers and what not, then I'm gonna have some funds for mods sooooon.:)
