Hey guys- Im at about 79,800 miles and im still on my original OEM tires.
My treadwear indicators are visible- but not yet flush with the tread... meaning theres still some mileage left in them tires..... so to speak.
Ill be changing them out soon.... most likely with the same type of tire.
I dont do off road stuff so I dont need knobby tires, and these seem great for the type of use ive put them thru. I also like the clean smooth sidewall.... theyre great for cleaning.. easy to clean- and easy to apply armor all with a sponge.... other tires with lots of writing or designs, then to cause havoc on a sponge... it tears it apart... and I like the smooth shiny look of an armor alled tire......
My 03 LS came with the 245-70R16 BF Goodrich Open Trail T/A.
Theyve been great- I like the ride and Ive liked their performance overall.
What mileage did you get out of these same tires.....

Wow, 80K on your OEM tires.
With results like that on OEMs, guess you will replace with the same tire. :undecided

yeah 80K... that sounds good to me...
Ive heard other people get lower mileage from other brands....that they put on their TB.

I have no idea if mine are what came from the factory, as I got a used one. I have the BFGoodrich open trails. They weren't brand new when I got it, and in the year/20k miles I've put on the vehicle, the tires have barely worn at all, and are still extremely quiet and have almost no hum at all on the highway. I'm happy with them so far. If they're offered in a 20" size I'll probably get them when I pop for some rims.

I got 53K out of my stock BFG Open Trails, but at about 45-48K they really got noisy on the hwy, and the wear bars were getting close to flush. And, I was going to be doing a lot of towing the next weekend, so I wanted to get new tires. Got stock size Toyo Open Country A/Ts, much better tires. They go through anything. I dont need to use 4WD in snow unless it is really deep (4-6"), the stock tires would spin in 2". They are a little noisier, but whatever for me.

I have 23'000 miles on mine, and they seem to be doing just fine. Though I can't seem to keep my foot outta the throttle as of late, so they may not last.:D

I got 73k out of my 245/65-17 BFG RuggedTrail's. The only reason I replaced them is I got a 1 inch piece of steel that went into the sidewall, they would have easily taken me to 80k before the wear bars showed. Replaced them with the exact same tire - a steal at the time at $53.00 each + shipping from tirerack.

The goodyear wrangler ST's are pretty close to being half way shot on my 2005 LS 4x4 at 18Kmi!! Although I believe today was the first time they were ever rotated.:duh: We've only had the TB a little over a month.

I am on 65,000 miles with the OEM BF-OpenTrails. I was riding on warped brake rotors for a while which caused the front tires to wear quicker when I became lazy of rotating them regularly. The other two could go another 10K, however the truck now has little traction in the mud.

~44K on my BFG Rugged Trails, and it was down to the wear bars and squirmy in the wet. Since then, have put on Michelin Cross-Terrains.

I got the 17" Continentals for stock tires and only got about 30k out of them before they were treacherous in the rain. :m2:

I replaced my stock BFG's at 28K. I rotated them every 5K and did monthly air checks. They were replaced with Toyo Open Country AT 255/70R/16. They new tires ride and handle so much better than the original ones.

37,000 on the continentals... probably could have gone 40... but decided against it.
115 mi on stock continentals... I replace the rolling crap from Chevy ( or Pontiac, Olds..)w/ Michelin LTX whenever I've gotten a new vehicle for the past several years. :m2:
