Overall, a bit disappointed. Truck is bone stock with the exception of a 3" Flowmaster 40 replacing the OEM muffler (still have OE resonator). I just had the first oil change, ~770 miles on the odo as I tech'd. Time to start modding I suppose :) FWIW, I've drag raced a number of cars in the past, not my first rodeo.

First run: Stabilitrac off, Trans in "D", foot braked to 1800 RPM,

R/T - .954
60' - 2.209
1/8 - 9.612@74.41
1/4 - 14.875@93.09

Second run: Stabilitrac off, trans in "2", foot braked to ~2300 RPM, didn't lead the trans early enough and caught the revlimiter going into 3rd.

R/T - .702
60' - 2.169
1/8 - 9.612@74.24
1/4 - 15.026@86.73

Third Run: Stabilitrac off, Trans in "1", footbraked to ~2300 RPM (accelerator to the floor), shifting manually @ 6K (trans actually shifted @ 6200~6300).

R/T - .585
60' - 2.165
1/8 - 9.572@74.63
1/4 - 14.794@93.89

Last run: Stabilitrac off, Trans in "1", footbraked to ~1800 RPM (let off brakes at the last yellow and tried mash gas & flash the convertor, didn't work  ), shifted manually @ 6K (same as before).

R/T - .582
60' - 2.211
1/8 - 9.535@75.52
1/4 - 14.730@94.35

It cooled off a bit as the sun set. I figure that's where I picked up the extra mile an hour. The truck wasn't spinning or bogging. It's actually a pretty boring ride. At about the 60 foot I was thinking I probably should have picked up some Starbucks to help keep my eyes open :sleepy:.

Not really sure where I could have picked up any in the 60'. I'm always open to suggestions. With a 2.0x 60', the truck looks like it should be in the 14.3's. I'm sure it's "possible" on the OEM converter @ this power level but I'm probably missing something. Maybe I could futz around with tire pressures . According to my handheld tire gauge, I was siting @ 35 psi all around, DTC read 37 psi.

I've got a Yank 2600TT on order, I'm sure that will help out quite a bit. I wanted to go with the 3000TT but the guys @ Yank cautioned against it (the truck still needs to tow my "real" race car & trailer).

Are most of you (stock) AWD guys trapping in this neighborhood (93~94mph)?

Take a look here and see what guys are doing.

My trap was 100.09. I have the VMS Tune and a K&N

I don't know what to say other than, are you sure it was your truck running that slow or was everyone off that night?? that's pathetic MPH for our truck, you're like 3-4mph off of stock, heat?? maybe? I don't know but I sure am glad mine runs good, I would lose it if my SS was that slow..no offense..AWD's by me are all under, albeit not by much, but at least two ran 13.8-9, at both Atco & Englishtown, and Matt's ran 13.7 a few times at Atco? I have run a ridiculous amount of mid 13's..on 2 trips, stock except for the K&N replacement..
here's a link to some of my slips, and if you PM me I will give you a link to some vids of a few SS's running...Good luck..

Tony -
I found a couple posts from guys with the K&N drop-in picking up 2 mph. That would bring it a *little* more in line. "CRapital" Raceway isn't exactly the best dragstrip but it is close by. Maybe I'll run it up @ Cecil for grins to see if there is any difference. I'm also under 1000 miles, which maybe (hopefully?), is still under some default GM break-in map. Not really too up on how GM PCM's function.

two words VECTOR TUNE !!!

I would love to but I haven't had any luck getting ahold of them. I've sent them 3 E-mails and called a few times since last Monday. I've either pissed Chris off in a past life or they are really swamped .

I may contact Lyndon Wester to see what he could do for me in the way of tuning. I've got some serious plans for this truck over the next month ;)

Well I remember talking to you on the phone once but no other calls? I emailed you again today just to see if it's my email client or something lol

Hey Chris -
Yes, we spoke once on Tuesday. I didn't receive an E-mail from you by Friday with the total so I tried to call again but didn't get an answer. Admittedly, I didn't leave a message as I figured you were probably busy. I just checked my mail and I have something from you now.

Thanks,

Ryan

Mine's AWD. I've made about 6 passes and it's never went slower than 14.2 @ around 96.

Went out to Cecil tonight to verify my times at another track. Only got two passes in before they closed the lanes . 14.73@94.5 Almost identical to my ET/MPH time at Capital. Apparently thats all she's got in her bone stock, at least with 1100 miles on the odometer. Oh well, time to start modding.

The miles per hour and times look like torque management to me, with a MPH of 94.5 I would expect about a 14.2 in the 1/4.

Don't sweat it too hard Ryan, you aren't the only one seeing those kind of numbers stock. That is dead on where I was. There are so many factors that can affect your times, and as I am finding out, air temperature and humidity can impact these trucks in a major way, causing swings in your times of as much as .3-.4 secs. A tune will wake you up in a hurry.

Thanks for the feedback. I was beginning to think I had one of those "Built-on-Friday-afternoon" trucks :p.
