Overall, a bit disappointed. Truck is bone stock with the exception of a 3" Flowmaster 40 replacing the OEM muffler (still have OE resonator). I just had the first oil change, ~770 miles on the odo as I tech'd. Time to start modding I suppose :) FWIW, I've drag raced a number of cars in the past, not my first rodeo.
First run: Stabilitrac off, Trans in "D", foot braked to 1800 RPM,
R/T - .954
60' - 2.209
1/8 - 9.612@74.41
1/4 - 14.875@93.09
Second run: Stabilitrac off, trans in "2", foot braked to ~2300 RPM, didn't lead the trans early enough and caught the revlimiter going into 3rd.
R/T - .702
60' - 2.169
1/8 - 9.612@74.24
1/4 - 15.026@86.73
Third Run: Stabilitrac off, Trans in "1", footbraked to ~2300 RPM (accelerator to the floor), shifting manually @ 6K (trans actually shifted @ 6200~6300).
R/T - .585
60' - 2.165
1/8 - 9.572@74.63
1/4 - 14.794@93.89
Last run: Stabilitrac off, Trans in "1", footbraked to ~1800 RPM (let off brakes at the last yellow and tried mash gas & flash the convertor, didn't work  ), shifted manually @ 6K (same as before).
R/T - .582
60' - 2.211
1/8 - 9.535@75.52
1/4 - 14.730@94.35
It cooled off a bit as the sun set. I figure that's where I picked up the extra mile an hour. The truck wasn't spinning or bogging. It's actually a pretty boring ride. At about the 60 foot I was thinking I probably should have picked up some Starbucks to help keep my eyes open :sleepy:.
Not really sure where I could have picked up any in the 60'. I'm always open to suggestions. With a 2.0x 60', the truck looks like it should be in the 14.3's. I'm sure it's "possible" on the OEM converter @ this power level but I'm probably missing something. Maybe I could futz around with tire pressures . According to my handheld tire gauge, I was siting @ 35 psi all around, DTC read 37 psi.
I've got a Yank 2600TT on order, I'm sure that will help out quite a bit. I wanted to go with the 3000TT but the guys @ Yank cautioned against it (the truck still needs to tow my "real" race car & trailer).
Are most of you (stock) AWD guys trapping in this neighborhood (93~94mph)?
