Not really sure how to explain this, but I'll give it a shot.
I've had 'the tune' for approximately 2K miles and Ive noticed a "bogging" effect.
Within the first 4-5 miles of driving (cold) I get good throttle response and excellent accelleration. After that, it is almost as if my shift points are off.
Am I crazy? :weird:
Anyone have similar conditions?
Kurt/Chris....whatcha think...

I agree with the MAF sensor idea. Try to use electronics / contact cleaner.
If you still have any problems call me. We can hook up some data logging equipment and see exactly what's going on.

I took the MAF into consideration, and took a peek. Clean as a whistle. If my memory serves me correct, K&N has been the culprit of an oily MAF right?
I do not have a K&N.
Kirk, thanks for the reply. I'll give you a call.

Oh I know Merk, he runs premium hehehe :D
Of course I run premium :rotfl:
What else could I possibly spend $60/week on? :duh:
I think my Typhoon gets better gas mileage though---which is pathetic.

Anyone know a specific cleaner to buy to use to clean the MAF?
And it is sprayed directly onto the MAF?

Hey Merk...
Can ya explain it a bit more....(I know its difficult)?
Bogging.... Slow to shift? Shifts are soft (not as much of a "punch")? Or slow to respond when you stab the throttle?

Shifts really high, crisp though.
I stab the throttle, and it 'thinks' for a minute and says, "uhh, hang on dude, I'm dropping the kids off at the pool."
For the past 3-weeks I have noticed it not feeling right. At first, I chalked it up to bad gas but this is getting rediculous.
I was up against a commemorative edition z06...had to let him loose as I was embarrassed of the old girl. She just feels like she had too much Thanksgiving turkey.

Z06 vs. a TBSS? You should let him go when it's running perfectly.:m2:

Did you recently have it flashed for the mode 28 seat TSB? Mine is acting the same way, boggy off idle if you stop it. Only thing that has changed is the dealer flashed it with the update. I hope that didn't F something up.

If they did, they did not tell me. Never heard of that TSB, what's it all about?

Wellllllllll.... You never know. If its an early-build vehicle with an early PCM/TCM cal, its *possible* that the dealer did a "favor" by updating them both to the latest revs.
Its happened to me on my '02 Trailblazer - took the truck in for one of the Service Campaigns (I forget offhand which one...taillights, maybe), got the truck back and saw on my service sheet that they also reflashed my PCM because I had an old cal. Did it without even asking me, which was fine, that truck is stock anyways. Point being, they could do this extra "work", trying to be the helpful service station for their customer.
