I dropped my ss off at speed inc. yesterday to have a little more power installed. They are going to make a CAI and and I will post pictures so anyone that wants one can contact them. Also installing NX kit and dyno tune so i will post # next week. Planning on running a 150 shot so I think it will be noticeable.

got a email from speed inc have the nx install done just have to tune it in the morning and it will be ready. They did a custom install with everything kind of stealthy. hide the switch panel and window switch in the center console and everything under the hood beneth the engine cover so you cant see anything without taking it off. the bottle is mounted on a board in the cargo area so when the bottles out everything hides under the cargo compartment the purge valve is comes out under the vehicle to keep it from being noticed. i will post pic when i get it back and also dyno numbers after the tune and on the spray.hope to hit 500 rwhp with 150 shot will keep you posted.

I emailed nx before the install to see what a ls2 with stock internals could handle and they sent back saying 150 was not a problem.

I just witnessed a 00' Z28 SS run a 150 shot on a Dyno with 60k HARD miles on it, put out 600+HP & 700+TQ, car is raced on slicks regulary & is a 6spd...so I don't see a problem with that amount..being that it will be tuned on a dyno you should be fine...good luck, make sure you hit the track soon!! dying to know what it runs.

got the email with dyno numbers. pulled a few degrees of timming out for nitrius it is 325hp and 338tq with the 150 shot it is 441hp and 482tq. should be fun to play with. they were not able to get the cai on didnt have the right materials in stock only turbo tubes and would be way to expensive. After they get it made will go back for install and tune.

it's all about the relationship with your dealer. I see alot of bad mouth dealer post in here but it works both ways if your in demanding things and being hard on them they will be the same way back on questionable issues. get to know them it will benifit you more.

Those are good #'s.....
The truck should be fine as long as your not spraying it all the time....it will hold up...
I'm going in there Thursday for them to look over the CAI to see what parts they need....I'm sure it won't be too long until they get something together...
I was supposed to go get a baseline on the truck today at the track, but it was closed....:worried:

Those numbers seem alittle low, What PSI was your bottle at? Were you running a bottle warmer before the first lick off the bottle. Did you heat the bottle again before the second pull?
Those just look like the numbers of a fresh filled bottle not running a Bottle warmer, am i correct?

Either your joking or you just fell completely off my respect meter. Warranty fraud/abuse is one of the reasons vehicles cost what they do (too much). IMO exhaust/CAI/computer tweaking = fine. Any major power-adder = kiss your warranty goodbye.

I don't think we should judge people. by the way How do you feel about the Big three allowing ridiculous markups on certain vehicles? like the GC SRT8, Z06, Ford GT?? you know what they say...what comes around goes around..I would care more about "warranty Fraud" if they cared more about us..buying a new vehicle is a nightmare, all dealers should be Company owned, like a Home Depot, or McDonald's, so you don't have to drive 2 hours away to save $1000 on a vehicle that is 3 miles from your house. sorry for the rant, I feel no pity for them....NONE...

I went in there today for them to look at it...
They are ordering parts, so I'm sure it will be a good week before I get any sort of update about it, but I'm going to have it installed, and throw the truck back on the dyno to make sure the AFR isn't way off, because I had it previously tuned...
So I will keep you guys updated
