So I was driving home last night at the drive was about a 2:30min drive and I checked the cd drive and noticed that the deck was burning hot. I ejected a cd and the cd felt like it was on fire... Has anyone else had this issue? Just wanted to check before I took it back to the dealer.
Thanks,

It's the nature of the beast. There is no cooling fan in the radio.

I don't use the CD player, but the front of my radio also gets very hot. My Mustag and Honda have no heat at all. My Sirius Sportster radio gets hot in the back.

Is this a new truck or a new truck to you? Either way, it shouldn't get that hotttttt.

It gets pretty hot. Internally amplified radios dump out a lot of heat.
If I remember correctly, the normal radios in the TB's have bulbs instead of LED's for button lighting so there is even more heat generated by the radio. Nav radios have LED lighting for buttons so they are a lot cooler, in addition to being externally amplified and having a cooling fan.

yes they have bulbs. One just burned out on mine. I am betting they don't last too long becouase of excessive heat.
