Are they really this fast

About 2 months ago a took and AWD SS for a ride it was quick for an SUV (not knocking it) but I wasn't terribly impressed. Yesterday an acquantance took me for a ride in his 2wd vector tuned SS and I about sh#t!!!!:eek: This thing flat out screamed. I was thorougly impressed. I am going by SOTP (seat of the pants) but I think this vector tuned one would run with a c5 vette from a roll. It felt, again felt like a low, low 13 second machine to me. My question with a tune are the 2wd ss really as fast as they feel? If so, I don't care what the wife says her new vehicle for her and the twins is a 2wd ss forget the used suburban:D

and yeah, mine stock went 13.55 on it's first pass, and avgs 13.53 on a dozen passes, now I am tuned and awaiting some similar weather (40's) to see what she'll do, already went 13.52 & .53 in 78f during the day, with the ECM tuned, TCM stock and all that Torque Management still in place.. my Tune (Wester's) netted me 26+HP & almost 40TQ..to the wheels..

1 guy with the AWD,Vector tune, and torque converter is going 13.1 in the 1/4.The tune seems to wake a sleeping giant.

Thanks man...and that pic was PRE tune and CAI taken on dry pavement...it's just sick now.
