Was lookin around under there behind bumper just above air dam & saw a long appx 14" X 3" cooler of some sort but I couldnt see if any hoses were attached to it & what it was cooling...Any hints as to if it is a transmission cooler or what it is?

That which you are looking at is a power steering oil cooler. I believe the trasnsmission oil cooler is incorporated in one side of the radiator as most others. I am unaware of an auxilliary transmission oil cooler on the T/Bs.
