Hey! guys have any of you tried Armor-All Extreme Tire Shine Gel. This product works fantastic on the tires, a bright wet shine without that greasy residue. The product comes with an applicator which makes it less messy and no spraying.

I tried this once and it spun off like you wouldn't believe (and I let it dry overnight) and I had to WAX it to get it off the paint! I'm back on Turtle Wax Tire Wax...lasts a long time and won't spin. Too bad they discontinued it...

 I haven't noticed any spin off, but I don't put alot on, just enough to get them looking good

I too love this stuff and I did experience a lot of spin off and spray onto my TBSS. But I think the trick is to make sure no white residue is left in the cracks and let it sit overnight. Since using this process, the spin off has ended and the tires look great for about a week depending on rain, etc...

I use the NXT Extreme tire shine stuff in the aerosole can. I cut a 20" diameter circle out of cardboard to cover the wheel and another square piece in the wheel well so that I didn't get any overspray anywhere. I've used the gel before but could never get the stuff in the little grooves which just spun out onto the paint....had to use quick detailer to get it off.

Yes that is a great product, im pretty sure that most of us on here tried it when we all ordered that free sample awhile back.. it does work good and everytime I go to the carwash in town I buy a pack from the machine to put on my ride :)

I have it, liked the commercial so I bought it.. (that little channel for the gel got me hooked!) a little spin off on the qtr's, but not much, and it lasts forever...I washed the truck 3x and didn't touch the tires themselves and the shine is still on?
amazing..

Same here, I bought some of that and I figured an hour drying time should be good enough but it seems as if it doesn't stick very well. It almost look like I went mud bogging

finally used the free sample pack. It does appear to be much shinier than the other products i've tried...but i didn't like the fact that it was hard to get in between the raised letters. Maybe i'll buy one with the applicator just for fun. I also noticed my wheels are startign to get stained(looks like salt from winter or something. I clean it and once it dries it comes back.)

That's why I like this product, it's good for 2 or 3 car washes without re-applying.

I'll have to try some. Been looking for something that doesn't spin off. The Tire Wet gel inside the applicator handle doesn't spin off but what a PITA to apply.

I use the armor all gel and love it. The secret to no "sling off" is to use the bare amount necessary. Don't glob it on there. A little bit of that stuff goes a long way. Just use the applicator to spread it thin. thats all it takes and then turn the applicator sideways to get the excess gel out of the tire grooves if any gets in there. this stuff shines for around a week or two and I get no sling off at all. Hope that helps!

Exactly! Most people put too much on. I look at it like this. Put on half of what you want and let it sit for 30-45 minutes. Then look at it. Chances are it will be what you want and if its not then you can simply reapply! :D
I went out and bought a foam applicator with a plastic handle and it works great; it even has a end that takes the excess out of the little grooves!
