Hi:
I am about to finalize a deal to take over a lease on a 2006 TBSS LT w/Sun & Sound, Nav, Leather, but no rear DVD, 5k miles on it for $400 + tax per month for 20 months remaining on the lease. I'll need to have it shipped to me which will cost me an additional $1200 as well. My wife is giving me grief over this but I think that this is too good of a deal to pass up. What are your thoughts on this? Is this a no brainer?

Thanks in advance.

Roy

Damn that seems like a good deal, but I don't know the money factor or residuals on the TBSS's. I would do it! :D

I think it depends on how much you like your wife. :D

it would be a good deal if it were new...but it's not, it's still an avg deal, so if you want but, you should look into a new one, and your own lease/smart buy..

:iagree: If she gets upset and crosses her legs over it, may not be worth the grief.

I would give a quick call to a local dealer and get a quote on new SS lease. How many miles left on the lease you are considering? Damage could occur during shipping, I think I would pick it up in person, and see the truck before signing papers. Have you ran a carfax on the truck? Also take the VIN to local GM dealer and have them check what if any warranty work performed.

$400 mo with nothing down does sound pretty good if it checks out.

In March '06, I did a smart buy for 24 mos @ $401.05 monthly on a AWD LT with everything but nav system. Hope this helps.

I'll post progress on what dealers in LA are offering. When I first started looking, it seemed that the going rate here in LA was $600+ per month, on a no down, 24 month lease. But after reading the responses here, it looks like there still might be deals available on a TBSS. So far, I've got a dealer that's quoted me $35k for a 2wd LT TBSS with everything but Nav and DVD. I'll need to get it down to about the $31k range to make it work -- I think??

Thanks
Roy

After talking to my manager, who's in the car business also, he said to go here, http://www.leasecompare.com/

that should be around the sticker price, mine was $35,9xx 2WD LT2 all exc Nav/DVD, paid 30,500 before tax & reg, with the earnings from my GM card (2k) and a 1,000 or 1,500 rebate offered..this was in January
