So I was going out to Cleveland to go finish up some engineering CAD files for a current project, I found taking the long way out is much more enjoyable then taking the pike. Anyhow on to the kill. I was traveling out on this back country road, farms all around when out of a side street comes a Boxster S flying up, right along side of me on a two lane road. Honking and screaming "hey I wanna race, can you stop for a minute". I figured what the hell could it hurt. The road is long, its a clear day and visability was great, just a long straight road. Plus I didn't have to be out to my uncles office for quite a while. We went to goes at it. First one off a dead dig for both of us, killed him out of the hole but by 115-120 he was up to about the back edge of my front doors . Second go at it, I staged up to a little over 2000rpm and he dumped it who knows what rpm, sounded high though, murdered him off the start, he spun a little from what I could hear, this time I went until the speed limiter kicked in, which until that point he was up to my rear wheel, hit the limiter and he was gone, blew past me.
Lessons learned from this one, don't beat it to hard or it gets a wierd scent coming from it, slow down, I like street racing as much as the next guy but after it was over I was tense for the rest of the ride there. Never know where a state police chopper might be at. It was fun though seeing the look on that kids face.
