What is the small space next to the power ports? It's too flat to hold anything (it'll fall out while accelerating) and there's nothing in it other than a screw.
What is it for, any purpose at all?

If its the place I'm thinking of, no, its useless. Thats one of the screws that you have to take out to get the dash bezel off, to take out the radio, etc....
(Just to the left of the lighter and power port, right?)

I have yet to figure that out either (the little tiny pocket in the center console right?)

Yup, that little pocket under the climate control, to the left of the power ports.
It was on my father's 2002 and it's still there on my 2005. You'd think they would do something with it (like put a lip in the front so you could put change or something in there) or get rid of it by now.
Maybe GM has big plans for it that we don't know about   :D

Yup, they sure do. They plan to remove it in '06 to save on production costs (don't have to make a rubber liner for it anymore) :duh:

Hey, maybe it can be used for good. I was thinking of mounting my foglight switch in there. Nice play to hide little switches like that :m2:

You can't put switches there because there is a metal plate that is behind it... i was going to put my remote switch for my amp there and found that it wouldn't go. I had to resort to putting it to the right of the right cigerette lighter power plug. It's a small two-way switch that fit nicely. But it would be nice to get some kind of a change holder in that spot.

That is what a drill and dremel are for :D
