Just slapped those puppies on this weekend before I headed to Toronto for the weekend. Happy Canada. I think they made a big difference. I bought the cross drilled rotors from e-bay. Rotorpros. The quality was excellent and they look great. I also bought the Hawk Pads. I definetly noticed a diifference in stopping distance. The hawk pads have a lot of meat on them. They make none to minimal noise when braking. So you dont have to worry about sounding like the B36 bus is behind you. A definite upgrade on your TB. I'll post some pics up once I paint my calipers this weekend and give my baby a bath.

P.S. Does it make me a commi bastard for going up to CA, for July 4th? I got hell for that this week at my job.

Thanks for the input on the pads and rotors. I think I will try Hawk next, I had good luck with Raybestos, but I will try something new, along with a set of slotted rotors.

BTW, I think your work is just giving you a hard time :raspberry Nothing wrong with going to Canada. Some of my family lives in MI, and we visit Canada when we go to see them. :)

Ah Canada...It's like a loft apartment over a really great party!

All of that will probably change when you have to have a passport to enter Canada. I know I'm not happy with that and probably will be going over the border less often.

I was looking at my TBs left front rotor yesterday and noticed a nice deep gouge about halfway between the edges of the rotor. I think my brake pads are getting close to being replaced, especially considering I tow fairly often in the summer with it. My question is, does anyone think my rotor can be saved, or do I need to buy a new one? It is only on the front left rotor as far as I can remember. I will go take a picture of it now and post it soon.

Thanks,

Thanks,

They can try to turn it, but then it just depends on the results.

It's a good excuse to upgrade.
