OK....seems like a few of the new vehicles have the vents in the front fenders. It adds possibly a sportier or more aggressive look.

What would our SS look like with a set of the Escalade vents? Any photoshop guys want a crack at this? Or would it look totally absurd?

Just curious.:undecided

yeah....just can't make up my mind what I think about that. If they are functional... would it improve air flow through the engine compartment?

I can't decide if i like it or not either. I think that far back it wouldn't serve any purpose...unless you were driving in reverse.

if they are functional, it would allow for air to flow from the front to the rear of the engine bay. the opening would allow for a current through the bay, unleashing heat from under the hood.

the only downside i could see would be if you drive with the windows open a lot, you may end up pulling that heat into the cabin area...

That's T-Mac's SS. I don't like the chrome of those Escalade vents. The main thing I like about the SS is the subdued, stealthy style. It doesn't have the bling factor of the Escalade, and that's perfectly fine with me. :m2:

I think those vents are chessy and they actually ruin the new escalade. Besides, now you see every hoopdy crusiin detroit with those things stuck all over the place. Must be able to buy them as stick ons at Autozone for like $10 or something. There is no purpose for them unless they are functional and you're making a 1000 hp!!

Smaller ones which are on the GXP would look good.
