Has anyone tried to put the K&N FIPK II for a 2005 Trailblazer with the 5.3L on an SS? The K&N part number is 57-3048

all you would have to do is have it tuned, if you dont want to spend the money on a tune just a stock replacement K&N would be fine

Just wait another month for the aftermarket to catch up. Volant is working on a kit for the SS and I suspect it will be one of the best- they usually are.

Im with Bergie, I have heard a lot of manufactures are working on a kit for the SS, just give them a little more time.

But, if you get that K&N, you MUST get a tune otherwise you risk running lean at WOT and blowing your engine. If you want more info, check with GTPprix about their CAI and tune combo.

Do you know which member it is, b/c I was getting ready to order one before I get her tuned next week. Thanks in advance for the info.

Is this "said to run lean" confirmed with wideband logging on the street?

Not on the street, but it was confirmed on a dyno; thats why VM wont sell just a CAI, you have to have a tune to make sure you dont blow your motor.
