Change oil light

When I first got my 02 TB (1 year ago) I waited to see when the oil change light would come on. It happened at 4,000. When I finished the oil change, I started the engine to build up the oil pressure and the light went out on its own. I followed the reset procedure (key on, engine off, gas petal three times). I couldn't get the light to flash to indicate it is reset.
I have tried this many times and can't get the reset flash. Honestly, I haven't used the oil life system anyways, but it would be nice to know if it works.
Anyone else having this problem?

Luckily mine has not gone off yet, but I am worried now I can't reset myself. I will see, but anyways, here is a thread that pretty much said if it will not go out, take it to the dealer.

i have an 03 tb and i have the same problem, i personaly don't trust the system and i change mine between 3000-3500 miles regardless of driving conditions. After every oil change i reset the system and it dosen't flash for me.

mine has a life of its own. I never know when it is going to turn on. I do my oil at 3-5000 miles depending on when I get around to it so I never use the guage(light) anyway
