Just got my '06 Black TBSS. It's great! I use it primarily as a weekend fun vehicle.

Got a few of questions:

1. Are there any aftermarket steering wheels (with airbag) available? The stock one is so wimpy with the thin rim and huge diameter. I feel like I'm driving a bus. I'm looking for something smaller and with much thicker rim.

2. I want to keep the wheels at 20" but want to get wider tires, probably 285-45-20. What rims do you recommend?

3. What aftermarket exhaust system do you recommend?

4. Are there grill guards available yet? Every once in a while I've got to hit a bump gate.

Thanks!!!

Without changing the wheels I do not think you can go wider with the tires, the rears maybe, the front I doubt it. The clearence is VERY small up front as it is with the upper arm.

Hi, and welcome from another Noobe. IMO,

1) Probably, but it would cost you.

2) If you must go that wide, especially in the front you would need at the very least 9.5 inch rims and a lot more offset for clearance. I'd go 265 in back and keep the 255 in front. The truck has plenty of traction already.

3) Full Stainless Works from the heads back.

4) I have not seen any since I think our front end is lower with respect to the mounting points than normal TB's. You may be able to notch the front for one though?

Just my .02, happy modding!
