Hey all,
anyone thought about doing any mods to the internal engine...what i mean is have you guys ever thought about changing the length of the connecting to rods to get a igh compression ratio? or how about milling the piston heads as well?

there aren't that many products for our 4.2ls, so most of the work, if we want to do any that is, has to be custom designed or worked on....if anyone has come across this idea or actually iplemented it, please drop a line....

i know the twin turbo TB changed his connecting rods to get a compression ratio of 8.5:1 instead of the stock 10:1 we have....the only reason i think he did this was to stop the engine from blowing cause of the surplus of compressed gases going in from the turbo....any help pleaseeee

Because of how volatile the engine is in stock form, I'd be kind of nervous doing "never before tried" mods on my truck. I'm content to just leave it as-is for now and just wait until I can afford something different to make into a performance machine. :m2:
