Just found out there is a 500hp SS in my area. I think his best time was in the 11s. It's got a total revamp of tune, exhaust, cam, nitrous etc. Guy from American Speed mentioned it and I was talking to a salesman at the dealership that said he knows the guy and the SS tuns like hell and would back up his claims.

Man I need to find someone in VA that could show me a few things and that I can trust working on my SS. 500hp is just plain nuts. I've asked a few friends around here in VA but all my friends say its to new of a truck!!
I say no way if someones getting 500 hp out of one of these thing.

For the most part it's true that because it's new, it's difficult to find parts, but all you really need is someone that is really good with customizing cars and tuning. His exhaust is totally custom and I am sure they tuned it for that particular exhaust.

BTW, just to mention, this area also just had its' first trade in. A younger guy had it, sounds like he had straight pipes on it. Father was popped for money laundering, so not sure if that's why he had to sell it/trade it for something less expensive.

There are two vendors here that will tune. Check the vendor's area and you can find just about everything you need. All you do is tell them whart you have done to your SS and they will tune it for that to get the best performance out of it.

Doing some reading Vector Motorsport seems to have a jump on the others. But I'll look around more till I make any choices.

VA gets some great air in the first of the year and oct/nov too.

That would be crazy turning them kinda of ET's in such a heavy truck.
