I was driving to work this morning, it was raining and kind of muggy and I really wasn't looking forward to another 9-9 day. So lets just say I wasn't in a great mood to start, so this dude in a late model Dodge Neon with the big can exhaust system fake duals starts reving it up on me at a light. I had to do a double take because I couldn't believe the stones this guy has, I mean it's a freaking Peon! So I decide to have some fun with him before I just stompped on it and really smoked him. I know it's only a Neon so It's not very impressive but I wanted to share it none the less.
Hopefully only the first of many victims.

What's great about that is now that kid will go home and look up the TB SS and find out what it really is. Then, he will probably talk about it for weeks and dream about having one. Ok, well, maybe not that last part, but I am sure most of it is accurate. lol

i got a clk55 from about 75 on up to 145 then got back into traffic. you should have seen the look on his face. priceless. being owned buy an suv with 4 people.

that's a hell of a kill?? those CLK's run a low 13 & you had 4 people in the SS? I can only imagine the 100+ pull..

I for one would like to know what was wrong with the CLK55 or its driver, because according to this: 2001 Mercedes-Benz CLK55 AMG 5.0 13.6, this would make for a close race with a 2WD SS but with 4 people in your SS, you should have lost... Sorry mate...

I had to bring a guy back to reality a few weeks ago... He starts revving his engine at the light and I let him go for a little bit, then I decided he deserved it. I eased into the throttle ever so gently and pulled up even with him, rolled down my window and waved at him, then I nailed it. It must have pi$%ed him off because he started driving like he was on an episode of cops weaving through traffic so I let him go, but it was funny none the less.

Sorry mate... maybe the ss has better response at 75 than the clk. he tried to pass twice with no success. maybe it was the driver but it still made me happy. car ,driver its all the same on the road.

Anyone take on a Porsche Cayenne yet? I went past one this morning running out to get oil for the camaro, but I dont want to go out looking for trouble. Rather let it come to me.

I think you'll do well against the Cayenne or Cayenne S. Those Turbos are beasts. :eek:

The Cayenne S's are just N/A V8's and the Turbo's run the same times as 2WD TB SS's if not just a bit slower... It's the 520 HP Cayenne you want to watch out for... Oh and any one that has Techart on it... Some of those have upwards of 700 HP....

I'm not saying that it's not possible for the SS to win, I'm just saying it would be more difficult than the reg or S versions. The Turbo S is the one I was thinking of when I made that comment though. That's the 520 hp one you mentioned.

All the regular Turbos I have seen tested, run 5.7 0-60 and high 13 low 14 1/4's...

ricers are a strange bread they think that they can take on anything that is next to them, a couple of months back I had a kid pull up to me in a mid 90's era Civic with one of those coffie can exhausts. It was not even a contest between him and my 98 lumina 3.1:crazy: I can't wait until i graduate and buy myself an SSTB

Vector tune fixes all that.
