Again, I'm in Saudi Arabia on business. I wasn't able to get anything interesting this time to drive around. I'm usually able to get something like a Lumina SS but this time I was only able to get a Trailblazer LT :D. Not quit the same as an SS but it's okay...
I just filled up which ended costing me almost nothing. The price of gas is about $0.16us/litre   .
No sighting of any TB SS's this time...
If anyone is interested I'm in Dhahran (eastern provinces).

How's the weather at this time? I really miss Saudi weather. Canadian weather's really messed up  Oh and if you can get me a barrel of unleaded, that would be awesome :D

Hey Glue,
The weather is sunny with a slight haze by late afternoon. The temperature, for this area of the world, is a balmy 42 degrees centigrade by 10:00am. Some people would call this freak'in hot
Have you been here before?
I'll see what I can do about bringing back a few barrels of unleaded :p

I was at PSAB for 4 months. Of course we didn't have to worry about buying gas, but we also were not allowed to leave the base.

Well things are somewhat quieter here compared to when you were here. So, going out to town is not a big deal as long as you're somewhat careful. In the eastern provinces people are generally very friendly and like to talk to foreigners of all sorts. Cities like Riyadh are still considered to be somewhat dangerous, so staying inside for the night is highly recommended. Over the last year I have been able to travel a little bit and see some of the country side. Places like Hofuf and Hasa are quite spectacular and rich in history.

Yeah i was born there, lived there for 15 years then moved to Canada. I really miss that weather :D My dad worked in Aramco and i lived in Dammam/Dhahran

I remember it going up to 59*c in Dhahran in mid july at about 11:45am about 3 years ago. It's really funny when everyone complains about the weather and i'm walking around all happy :D

Yeah it was a different time back then. I heard they moved into buildings before they closed the place. You know it is going to be hot when its in the 90s at 5am on the trek to the shower tent.

PSAB was good times. I worked a 3 and 1 (SP). Days off spent at the gym and pool. Desert queens and Hummer races rule!!!

Last Friday I went to Half Moon beach (KSA) to ride up and down some pretty good size dunes with my rental TB. I was a good time but it was more fun watching owners of Porche Cayenne's get stuck in sand  The whole trick with sand is to drop the air pressure in the tires to around 20lbs (or less).
Unfortunately, all good things come to an end. I'm in Heathrow waiting for my flight to Toronto :(
