I am just wondering how fast you guys have had the truck up to. I hit 144MPH:eek: at about 5100 RPM's. Which leads me to believe that the truck is capable of 155MPH. Just wondering what people have gotten out there?

ive done it but not for long. mit was past the 140 mark but i did not look at the tach. and got there pretty quick

Yep I have the Vector Tune and a CAI(Installed by Chris), and the Correct Answer is GPS.

How stable was she?? I "might" have a "friend" with a supercharged 4wd tahoe that has been over 110 and she "might" have felt like she was floating on air...not a cool feeling..."so ive heard" :D

i wish i, i mean "my friend" had one! ha ha...no video camera right now, just graduating college, did good to afford the supercharger and mods to my tahoe...should have a real job soon though, then mp122 on a TBSS(and a video camera to catch the fun!)....that is if magnacharger will comply and grace us with such intercooled forced induction magnitude:drool:

I made a speed run at a sustained 105mph a month or so ago. Let me just say that TBSS's really ARE tuned in Germany. Very stable... never felt "light or floaty," never once felt like I was close to the limit. The steering was precise and solid. The handling was beautiful and the power seemed limitless.
Honestly, I didn't even realize I was driving that fast until my gf started screaming at me to slow down! I was basically just cruising on an empty highway with no other cars around for me to gauge my relative speed so... I just kept on accelerating until it felt like I was moving at a decent clip and held it there.
That's faster then I'll ever take her on a street again. I don't think I'd like to have my SS impounded and my license suspended. My next adventure will be at an open track day now that I have the Vector Tune installed... :D

I've had it up to 120 a couple of times dusting rice burners on the interstate. It feels super stable, but a blow out or cop at that speed would be devastating

115 MPH is tops for me. Got dusted by an 06 Corvette at that speed. It was over in a matter of seconds. Very stable at speed.

i've heard 130 is super stable, numerous times....i've heard this...I haven't done this, only heard it...:cool:

I had mine up to 130 the 1st day that I owned it:D
And on several other occasions.
It goes strait to 130 in a hurry! Feels like it is accelerating even faster the whole way up. Feels like it'll do 160 easy.
100 mph feels like 70 mph in any other vehicle. It rides real smooth! And nice crisp handling.
This vehicle is a blast! I got it in FEB and still get a grin on my face everytime I step on the gas! It's just the sweetest sound hearin them pipes rumble as you put your foot down:yes:
If you dont have an SS go and get one now! It's an off roadin, in the snow drivin, boat towin VETTE!:D

where do you guys get it up to 130. Once I get it to 100 in Atlanta i'm afraid a cop will be around the next bend

You do realize that I have to say I hate you now because I am dying to get an SS but realize I cant afford it right now. If someone came along and gave me 18K for my 02 with the mods I have on it now, I would probably take that in a heartbeat and put it right towards an SS (my 02 is paid off).

Out here there are long flat deserted roads pretty much in every direction. Lost of nice straitaways with good visibility for high speeds.:yes:
If you're on one of these roads and there is no other traffic around....
As they say in Montana (or used to say):, 'Reasonable and Prudent' comes to mind.
Of course that is a subjective term:D

Had mine up to 120 on I-10. It's funny because I did it while dusting an 06 Vista Blue Mustang GT vert (similar to my 05) thought he was gonna smoke me. There were two very supprised guys in there and the extra weight of the vert must have helped me. Went from 70-120 and I was walking away from him the whole time. I've also got a silver 04 GT vert on my list of kills with this thing. I'm starting to like this truck.

Hit 130mph, (registered on the speedo) Numerous times... It IS stable, everything feels fine, a bit of wind noise, and the side mirrors feel like they want to get the vehicle airborne, not unlike Dumbo ears, hehe. Love it. V-Tune Sune. :x
