So nobody knows, the dealer quoted me $140.00 + tax for just the pads which is ridiculous....

hmmm...I think you'll be the first to do a brake change on the tbss. What other vehicles use the TBSS caliper?

Wow! You went through a set of pads already. How many miles? I thought you just wanted to replace them with ceramic pads to reduce the brake dust.

That could be. I might do this as well, but I don't know of any aftermarket pads.

I drive in A LOT of stop and go traffic. Doesnt help that this truck has the LS2 in it either ;) I have 11,000 miles or so. The metal wear indicator isnt touching the rotors yet. They are worn down to the point of needing changing. I'll let you guys/gals know if I find any and post what I find. Sure as hell not paying 140.00 for pads... The rear pads are fine, look almost brand new... The brake dust on this truck sucks!

Sometimes the local dealer will price match if you tell them you are going to buy off the internet. Sometimes they won't price match. Worth asking.

I don't know about this forum, but in many you can have whatever you want under your screen name after getting a certain post count. Try e-mailing him. I have noticed that the moderators here are very, umm, strict though.

The mods are only strict to those who dont read the rules and make a billion consecutive posts instead of answering in 1 post or who bash other members or bash vendors.

As for the usernames, you used to be able to have whatever you wanted, but that was over a year ago when I first joined. Then, the ranking system took over. It doesnt really bother me that much, but then again Im only 1 person.
