not sure what type of mercedes but blew it away badly. Mustng was in the 2000's somewhere. Not the new one. It was loud so I'm sure it had some mods. Not even close. After I beat the mustang he did a ricer flyby. These TBSS's must make some of these sports car drivers feel terrible. I love it!

These trucks are HARD on a sports car guys ego. The Mustangs are pretty easy. It's the Camaros and Trans Ams with the Ls1 which are the tough ones.I haven't raced a Hard top one yet but I have taking out 2 Convertibles. Now being tuned I don't think I'll have too much trouble with a stock one on the Street. Track may be a different story though.

I have not driven my 2000 Corvette since I got this TBSS. It's that much fun. I just love the sleeper thing this TBSS has going on. Everyone thinks these things are an easy kill until they see the tail lights. The vette is cool but you can never get anyone to seriously race you. I'm actually putting the vette up for sale. I don't think I will ever drive it again. What a freaking machine this TBSS is.

I find too because of the ride and quietness of the truck it don't feel all that quick. But when you race some respectable cars and eat them you know she's quick. Now with it tuned it feels fast.

exactly. The vette feels a lot faster but I know it isn't. The softer ride of the TBSS makes it feel slower. I'm never sure if I'm going to beat some of these cars but I so far have driven right by everything I've raced. Can't wait to find a real race against a vette, mustang SC or something like that. I'm sure this thing will lose by a couple of car lengths but even those guys are going to be like damnnnnn.

Well, I have never had the pleasure of owning a vette, but I can imagine that a TB SS with the same engine has got to be as fun, if not more because you can whomp all over unsuspecting ricers!!!:D :D

I can tell ya right now that my 99 SS was faster than my 06 TBSS. When I ran it at Epping I turned low 13's with a 13.12 best time. So far I haven't seen anybody with a TBSS that could match that time. My 95 Z28 automatic was even faster than the 99 SS, but it was not anywhere near stock. Good luck with the street racing but don't forget it's only racing if the guy in the next lane knows it is.:)

I had a 99 Formula as well. It was a faster car. It was just as fast or faster than my Vette. I would not mess with any LS1's other than the GTO. They will lay the smack down on a TBSS. Even in stock form.

You might laugh but I had a 95 Formula 6 speed with the LT-1 in it.
It was fast as $hit....i think it could take this TBSS.....I miss it alot.

nice! Looks just like mine. Mine was Pewter with the 17 inch ZR-1 corvette rims on it. I had the Corsa and a SLP lid on it. I beat a couple newer vette's with mine. It was just brute animal power.

I just traded my 96 T/A with the LT1.My SS is quicker than it.The T/A was a little quicker in the 1/4 stock for stock. But now since I'm tuned my TBSS would take it with no problems at the track. On the street it would just eat it.An LS1 will be a good run More then likely it'll win but not by too much.

Chalk one up for a SoCal beatdown on an early 2000 Mustang GT. On a surprisingly traffic free 605 freeway this kid rides up on me, sticker decals plastered everywhere on his ride, after market exhaust(typical youngster profiling)cruising at about 70, we both mash on the gas.
All I know is after about a half mile I looked down at the speedometer showing 120 before hitting upcoming traffic and I'm a full car length ahead. I know the specs. on the GT are no where close to the Cobra, but still feels lovely taking down another "sports car" for the TBSS community!
