I'm looking for anyone with Michelin Cross-Terrain tires - either OEM or aftermarket - to help me out.

In looking over all the tire pressure threads on here, I decided to re-check the tire pressures on my EXT (245/65/17's).

The big question I have is this: what max tire pressure is listed on your sidewall? Mine reads "Max Press 240 kPa / 35 PSI" - which is a concern to me as the recommended pressure on the door sticker is also 35 for the rear, which leaves no margin for error (outside of typical "engineering reserve").

the crosstrain in your size at 35psi is rated to 2039# per tire so thats 4078 for the rear axle.

Hmm... ok. My big question is I don't want to be Explorer/Firestone, round two with this thing. I'm not sure if keeping the tire at 35 PSI exactly is doable, regardless of the weight rating.
