Decide if you're going to do mods... before you even have the truck. That's funny. :rotfl:

I guarantee once you actually get your hands on the truck, whatever you were telling yourself about "Naw it's already fast enough" will fly out the window and you'll be modding the crap out of it!! :raspberry

What color did you order?

81 Liter gas tank. Doesn't gas cost about 1.00 per liter in Canada? :x

SS owner
07-17-2005, 02:45 PM
My TB SS is Silvestone Metallic, and I live in oil country in Northern alberta and the gas prices are high but not as high as other parts of the Canada. Our gas is 87.9 cents per liter or $3.99 per gallon. The gas issue is not that big of a deal because I am a Power Engineer for Husky oil and we get a 20 cents per liter discount, plus I don't drive the good car very much I own a 30th anniversary Grand Am that is Sunburst Orange (that I'm selling for the TB SS) It only has 17100 kilometers on it or 10625.45 miles, and I have had the car for almost 3 years

As you had posted previously, the SS Package is $5195 MSRP. It's what is referred to as a "free flow option," and has similar restrictions/requirements as far as other associated options that are required or incompatible.

The RPO for the SS package is B4U, and was available to order on June 28. Guess what day my truck was ordered? :D

Late November is somewhat surprising, maybe they're just hedging or simply don't have good information. If they haven't ordered their cars for inventory yet, the November date may be in the ballpark. My truck is scheduled to be build in Mid-August, FWIW.

westbayou
07-29-2005, 04:01 PM
So the August production I read about was indeed true. Well that is good news. The sooner they arrive the better if you ask me. I'm tired of the big payment on the Tahoe, let alone ready to haul some @#$!

I pulled the $5195 number off of KBB.com, but haven't seen anything official yet. You can imagine my disappointment when my local dealership told me late November at the earliest for the arrival of their first SS.

I e-mailed a gentleman at GM Wednesday about TBSS pricing and this was his reply.

"Pricing was provided to Chevy dealerships a few weeks ago. I can tell you a
base 2wd LS TB with the SS package has an MSRP of $33,600 including
destination."

Mike Stoller
Chevrolet Communications
michael.stoller@gm.com
313.667.4082

After recieving the E-mail I went over to Kelly Blue Book and looked up pricing for that combination and it came out exactly to the dollar of what Mike Stoller @ GM had said. So it looks like if you use the KBB web site to price the TBSS it should get you real close.

I just checked, and my target production week moved from the week of August 15 to the week of August 22. This better aligns with some of the other timing dates I've heard relative to the SS option package. If these dates are for real, it should be a very early SS.

I'll post back as the we get closer to the build date.

if only i could get an envoy SS. i hate the trailblazer interior. does it still have that cheesy wolf & mountains emblem or whatever trees next to the air conditioner. so cheesy.

i know, i know, envoy got the denali.

should have been this way from the beginning - maybe they will fix this in July 2007. speaking of, we need a 2008 mid-sizer forum to post.

Trailblazer - offroad - Z71
Envoy - technology - XUV & DOD, denali, etc
Bravada/Rainer - LUX - sound deading/quiet
9-7x - sport/turbo
Ascender - I dunno, I hate this truck.

Dont hate on the tb interior grouch. It maybe could use a little wood but its functional and well laid out. I'm hoping to put an analog clock where the "cheezy emblem" is and get a wood trim kit. Taht should liven things up. By the way to the new owner of the SS, congratulations. That'll be the sickest thing on the road.

ScarabEpic22
10-04-2005, 11:34 PM
So, what is going where the cheezy things above the rear wiper is? Anything? On 4WDs, it is the transfer case selector, but with the TB SS being either 2WD or full-time AWD, there is no need for anything there. I say it is a great place for a transmission temp guage, but my TB is 4WD, and I need the switch there.
