I’m fixing to get Moto Metal chrome, 12mm offset, 950 wheels wrapped in **** Cepek Crusher Radials. I want to get the biggest tire I can but I don’t want to have to trim the inner fender.

Any advise you could give me would be most appreciated. Please copy your reply to bwoodleythornton@earthlink.net (my home e-mail) as well as this one as I will be eager to hear your answer at home over the weekend.

    Thanks very much,

    Hey Kyle,

I noticed your truck on www.liftmeister.com and I like stance of it… nice. I recently bought a 2008 TrailBlazer inline six and am researching mods.

I have a couple questions for you if you don’t mind:

    1. Mark McMaster tells me that you are running both his 3” suspension lift and his 3” body lift, how do you like them?

    2. I noticed from your build thread that you are running 33” tires. Did you have to mess with the inner fenders a lot or does lifting the vehicle suspension and body 3 inches accommodate that size tire without further modification to the wheel well area?

No pics of the install, but it was actually pretty easy. I bought some heavy gauge, 3"x3" L brackets from Home Depot. Cut off about 1 1/2" of one side to attach to some 2" light gauge steel tubing I bought from the local steel yard. I got a scrap piece for $5.

Had to eyeball the approximate mounting height of the brackets to the tube. Clamped the tube to my workbench top to make sure it didn't roll resulting in my brackets being in different spots.

Oh yeah, as for the attachment of the tube to the TB; I pulled the grille and attached the long end of my L brackets to the outside two bolts that hold the bumper cover to the body. There's three between the headlights and I lined up my brackets with the outer two.

I'm looking to lift my 08 4x4 TB about 4 inches but I can only seem to find leveling kits and lift kits that are 2 inches. Just wondering if you could point me in the right direction to find a kit and if I need to upgrade anything else along with my lift. I'm new to this and always wanted to learn. Thanks for your help.

Hey love the setup for your exhaust, wanting to do something similar, did you use 3.5" from the muffler to the tip?

...just the usual; cai, sports tune--nothing out the ordinary. With the mods I have on my SS, it goes fast enough for me; I'm still whipping much ass on the streets & expressways...
