I am confused unless its the switch or the relay. I am thinking the relay since the 2 fastest speeds will change the speeds of the wipers. Anyone else experience this issue?? BTW: HI I am a noob..
Sounds like a relay. Unfortunatly GM wiper motors, pulse modules are notorious for failing. Sounds like a relay, but may not hurt to have the pulse module checked out. alot of time, moistuture gets in them and everything starts acting goofy.
All the electronics and relays are contained in the wiper motor ass'y. The steering column control stalk connects to the wiper motor unit through the vehicle wiring harness. Pretty simple but does get water in it sometimes, and even though there was a NHTSA safety recall about this, the "fixed" ones still fail. Water will get inside, corrode and make conductive leakage between circuit traces on the control board, and cause weird problems.
I called GM's recall department but they had no recall for my 2005 TB. maybe it was just for the 2003-03. I have pulled the #9 fuse under the hood and wipers are still going nonstop!! How can I get them to stop just till i can get this fixed???? it's not raining in tx!
