Rubbing sound behind wheel

I've got a rubbing sound (like nylon against nylon) directly behind my wheel. It's on my 2010 Equinox (I know...) and the gap is very small. Just thought I'd get some input from the crew here as on this site (versus many others) most of you have turned a screwdriver or wrench a time or two.

While you didn't indicate it I am going to presume you mean your "steering wheel".

It could be something as simple as a piece of paper in the wheel housing rubbing on the wheel as you turn it.
