Very nice. I got mine hacked off, new pipe welded, and exhaust tip welded by Meineke for $55. No access to a welder or I would have done this myself too.

I don't notice much, if any, drone and I love the sound of the tip I bought.

Ractive 2" Round Slant RACT246RE

This is totally worth doing.

Bringing this thread back. Any videos or clips for a res delete on an I6? There's some rattling in mine and I'd like to get rid of it, but don't want it to sound like an eclipse. I know it won't sound throaty like the V8, but trying to get an idea.

Thanks!

Thanks. I actually found a video on here. I'm not a real fan of the sound. I like the deep throaty (giggity) sound that the V8's produce.

Sometimes the sound on these videos or any for that matter leave a lot to be desired. If you are going to have a shop do the work, get them to start the truck for you once the old resonator has been cut off and judge from there. No matter what you do in the way of mufflers or anything of the like it will never give you a sound close to a V8.
